    ...like spending a bit on mud guards for a start. That's the trouble with cheap bikes - they don't come properly equipped.

    it's a road bike with 26mm slick tyres so I'm not worried about the spray from the road.

    and it's not cheap, this bike retails at £270! And has an ali frame and alloy wheels.

    honestly, all this unwelcome banter!

    Cheap! - don't worry, that was just sour grapes. My bike is 40 years old, and it feels as though the tubes are solid iron. However, once I get going - once I get going - it has so much momentum that it's unstoppable.

    Note: Momentum = mass x velocity.

    the bike I've been loaned betwixt the stealage of my old bike and the errection of the new weighs nearly 25kg with frame, rust and wheels. my new one is 12kg. w00t

    of course moment. = m.v but remember the frictional co-efficient also depends on mass.

    Oh, and acceleration is inversly proportional to mass which is good news
