Hillsong, boxes, moving 'n' that
Good enough time to blog I should think.
Feeling a bit bittersweet at the moment. Seems like yesterday La and me moved into our house so moving out now seems like the end of probably one of the most exciting chapters in life we'll come across together.
This place is our first home where we got to know each other - what we liked and what we couldn't stand about each other (and ourselves I suppose), place where we've had so many awesome and sucky times. Am only now realising the memories I have of this place now we're about to leave it.
The thing is, we've only spent the last two years moaning about this place! The neighbours, the traffic of the two main roads that meet here, the people on the street, the rotting single glazing, the general BAD state of repair of the house, missing handles, only three out of seven doors actually fitting properly in the archetraves and the impossibility of keeping the house clean. Yet there's a distinct sentimentality of our first shared home that makes moving out seem such a pity.
However, the overwhelming excitement and happiness we felt on moving in doesn't compare to the modest lament of moving away which suggests to me that we're doing the right thing.
Also the excitement of our nearly brand new flat with lovely neighbours in amazing location and grown up commute reeeeeaaaaallllllllllllyyyyyy is exciting and wouldn't comprimise plans for that for anyfink!
Here's the plan:
- House a) is a big fat smelly jelly!
- Landlord has to repair house
- We move to House b) (landlord's flat) on Wednesday leaving some stuff at house a)
- Hen/Stag night bit messed up as drunk guests have no where to sleep!
- Get married 1st Sept.
- Honey moon pt. a) (night in the Raccecourse pub on 2nd Sept.)
- Honet moon pt. b) (Gissing Hall, ironicly in Diss 3rd to 5th Sept.)
- Business trip 6/7 Sept. for Benv
- Move to house c) 8th Sept. in Diss
In this time I've also got to re-apply for provisional driving licence, pass my CBT and buy/register/insure a moped for commuting, we have to pack, plan wedding and work overtime to pay for this all.
(Need Heather to life coach us into stress management I think!!!)
