I think that being an MP is an honour. The majority in the area to which you devote your services has voted you above everyone else to represent themselves. They put their trust and hope in you. That has to be a privelege surely...

So why do tax payers need to give these young men and women 22k to spend at john lewis. For me, that's about eighteen years worth of tax ottomh. And a 40k pay rise? Personally I think that's state embezzlement.

Just a bit of a moan really.
